Enough appeasement already

Michael J. Totten, one of the best observers of and commentators on events in the Middle East, writes that we can’t control whether religious zealots in the Middle East understand our First Amendment rights or respect our freedoms. What we can control is our reaction to their behavior – and, thus far, our reactions have been appalling.

And I have to say it’s a little unseemly for our government to officially take a position on a YouTube video, even one that sparked an international crisis. It’s even more unseemly that our government is taking the same position on that film as the people who just killed our ambassador in Benghazi.

If my people who are called by name humble themselves and pray and turn away from wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and heal their land. God watch over the USA and her Allies as the untamed world of Islam strike out to harm.

Jeff, God has everything to do with world affairs. After all, He created the world, it’s His baby, and He cares, believe me.

It has everything to do with it. If the President was really a Christian & not pretentiously masquerading as one, he’d see the importance of supporting Israel instead of appeasing the Muslims.

The Muslims don’t know how to ignore. They will always have the reason to fight and blame someone else. Either the American or the jews.

Jeff, these men do what they do because of their religion, please don’t tell me that you are blind and have not eyes to see that. I realize that there are those who blame this mess on Christians and Jews, if these religions didn’t exist they, in their ignorance, believe that they (Muslims) would have no reason to hate and that would put an end to violance. The fact is, they even hate each other, if they were not waging war on us they still have their daily war they wage on one another. Remember, if you hide your head in the sand your rear end is still exposed to get kicked. Blessing

Trust in God alone. Romney is not winning this campaign, so it is wise to keep your relations with Obama intact. Since you know God, you should know that Romney’s faith is not so flattering to Him.

It is my understanding that the Marines were not allowed live ammo to defend the Embassy according to The Last Resistance 5-14-12.

What’s more sad is when people exercise said rights and stupidly identify themselves as a member of an already persecuted minority in Egypt. How smart is that??

It is a reasonable privilege to allow freedom of speech, because it is a basic human right.
However, this privilege can be abused. It can damage relationships, and alienate friends.

It is very sad that the President is more concerned about his political career than the American people and our country.. And he should have had that meeting with Israel prior to all this.

Joann, the President has stood up and publicly condemned this act and has sent an Aircraft Carrier task force to the waters off Libya and has reinforced the embassies around the world.

Jeff, it was after the fact that an Ambassador was killed on the anniversary of 9/11. Where was the Marine Cadre that was supposed to protect US territory? Why wasn’t security beefed up on 9/11?

        1. September 11 – A day of Muslim terror against the U. S.
        2. Should not Obama and his administration have been proactive to have extra security measures in place at all U. S. embassies?
        3. A president who cares more about protecting the U. S. and less about his political future would have been on the alert and prepared for such disaster unless he wants to make the U. S. weak.
        4. The U. S. needs the equivalent of Netenyahu as U. S. President.

Our government does not care about God! It is the responsibility of the Christians in the US to turn back to God and pray for his blessings on us. If we don’t all is lost for this nation.
