Israel’s Building No Obstacle to Peace

Jonathan Tobin writes that Israel’s actions are not the major sticking point in the peace process.

Though you wouldn’t know if from listening to the UN debate or even to most spokespersons for the Jewish state over the last forty years, the argument about the West Bank is not solely about pitting rights of Palestinians against Israel’s security needs. The West Bank is, after all, part of the area designated by the League of Nations for Jewish settlement under the Mandate of Palestine. It is also the heart of the ancient Jewish homeland to which Jews have historical, legal and religious ties that cannot be erased by a century of Arab hatred.

The real obstacle to peace is the deference Obama has shown Sunni versus Shiite Islam when both have the same goal as a matter of religious/politics intolerance but differ on other matters ethnic, racial (The Sudan Arab versus Black) tribal, and religious sectarian. In the final analysis “Palestinian” opposition to Israel in Jerusalem is religious intolerance vocalized with false notes of modernity the Eurpeans and Obama have accepted much too often. The notion the not fomal state of Palestine is a return to the 1967 borders is totally unrealistic and a given merely another nod to a one state solution in the name of Allah.

This Land belongs to Israel and they have the right to build as many houses as they wish, because the God of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob gave it to them and the Europeans have no right to tell Israel what to do with their Land.

Technically,Israel is supposed to have land as far north as Hamath,as far south as Beersheva from the coast of the Mediterranean to the Euphates River by the ruins of Ur and Babylon. This would take all of what is now Lebanon, the southern hal of Syria, the northern half of Jordan, the northern tip of Saudi Arabia and one third of Iraq. These conclusions are based on Ezekiel 48:1-35 and Genesis 15:18.

The land is legally Israel’s and therefore should remain Israel’s. There is plenty of Arab land to relocate to for those that call themselves Palestinians.

God created the world, so the land belongs to Him. He has as owner allowed us to live on it and use it. He gave this area of Land to Israel. Promised to Abraham to His son Issac’s son Jacob, thus named Israel. Then the 12 tribes from Israel. End of legal points. Owner and Creator gave to His own.

No one can tell Israelis where to build on their land. The world has suddenly turned its back on the only democratic nation in the Middle East. Not seen
as an obstacle to peace by Israelis.
