Netanyahu’s Only Real Opponent

Jonathan Tobin, writing at Commentary, says that Prime Minister Netanyahu has only one real opponent – Israeli President Shimon Peres, who isn’t even on the ballot. Tobin rightly points out that, while Peres is a giant of Israeli history, the last few decades have shown him to be wrong a lot more often than he is right.

But as much as he deserves as much credit as any person for Israel’s survival and growth, he seems to be one of the few Israelis who haven’t noticed that his Oslo brainchild and the “New Middle East” fantasy that he promoted in the early 1990s at the height of peace process euphoria was a tragic flop that led to much loss of life.

PM Netanyahu must remain. I, too, wish USA had a leader like the PM who truly loves his country. But sadly, we are led by a Muslim, which will be our demise if we do not seek God. I love the Jewish people and pray for them daily. I pray for their peace.

Netanyahu needs to stay the course just as the Bible discribes in the last days, take the land that belongs to Israel as promised to Abraham.

The Prime Minister is definitely the man for the job. PM Netanyahu has not knuckled under from the pressures put upon him and Israel from the leaders of the so called civilized countries. Just like Europe and the Vatican looked the other way while the Holocaust took place!
PM Netanyahu knows the truth about the so called civilized countries, and also believes in the statements, NEVER AGAIN and Am Yisroel Chai!

By the rules of the Muslims, the child of a Muslim father is a Muslim by birth, whether you are sure of the father or not. Does any one know if bacon or such is served in the WH?

I believe Bibi was born for a time such as this point in Israels history, where Iran’s nuclear capability will have to be stopped and I believe he is the man to do it, also Bibi has a strong Bibical knowledge of prophecy concerning Israel.

Why is anyboby even bothers to speak of peace while, non og the authorities that represent the Palestinians recognize Israel’s right to exist? Not only that they all are on recoed as wanting to destroy the Jewish State. How can anyone seriously consider dealing with such open adversaries?

I think Isreal needs to keep Netanyahu as Prime Minister of the nation. Perez needs to retire and stay out of the problems, but, if he wants to meet with the prime minister and give his ideas on the situation that would be fine.

Exactly, do not depend on the POTUS to help. He is unpredictable and dangerous to our Allies. We cant help but admire such a strong leader and wish we had one.

I do not see how Peres can be in the same trailer as Netanyahu. In Israel there is a standing joke that if Peres was the only candidate in an election he would lose.

I believe PM Netanyahu is the man in such a time as this.Israel needs a man that is tough and able to defend for his people. In these last days, Israel is surrounded by hatred and animosity as predicted by the Lord Jesus Christ but Israel will remain strong with the leadership of PM Netanyahu and with help of the the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

So you think the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is a Muslim convert? He was never anything but a Muslim, his phony conversion to Christianity seems to have all been forgotten now.

Peres is the poster boy for the failed left. Voting for him – or his policies – reflect something sick about Israelis. Over 1000 Israelis died in the Intifada following his embrace of Arafat

President Perez is very forward looking with regard to modern development in Israel, and I admire him for that. I think, however, that he is too idealistic. PM Netanyahu, by contrast, is a realist.

Clarity in a Confused World

In response to this week’s horrific terrorist attack on a Jerusalem synagogue, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded with a voice of moral clarity. We, as people of faith and conscience, must all cling to such clarity in a world so often ruled by moral confusion.
