Photo Friday – A heavenly look at the Holy City

Filmed and composed by Vitaly Vyazovsky, this week’s Photo Friday pick is a serene time-lapse composition of the skies of Jerusalem. Although this may look more like “Video” Friday, we’ve stayed true to our theme — time-lapse footage captures many images at preset intervals of time and then speeds up the frame viewing for a motioned effect.

We think Vyzaovsky did an amazing job using this technique to capture the serene skies and amazing beauty of the Holy City. Shabbat shalom, everyone!

Remembering the Terror of 9/11, Confronting the Terror of Today

The attacks on 9/11 were a wake-up call to the dangers of Islamist terrorism, and the swift growth of terrorist groups such as the Islamic State should wake us up to a current threat that demands not just our vigilance, but also our unity.
