Sanctions Not Halting Iran Nuclear Program

In Commentary, Jonathan Tobin notes that Iran is isolated and in fiscal distress – but it’s nowhere near being forced to stop building nuclear weapons.

According to the diplomats, Iran has continued installing new centrifuges at the underground site at Fordow near the holy Shiite Muslim city of Qom in what has become a rapid buildup of its capacity to enrich the uranium needed to produce a bomb. The next IAEA report to be published in November will reveal that the expansion of the enrichment subterranean facility is near completion.

There’s no surprise here. Clear that unless there is regime change in the U.S., we’re not going to do anything effective to prevent Iran from going nuclear.
    Sad and dangerous indeed.

I think that this build-up is very scary. I think that Iran’s intentions are not good as they speak so boldly and open about their hatred toward U.S. and Israel. I pray GOD intervenes and one way or another they are stopped soon.

Sanctions are jokes when it comes to dictatorships. As long as the upper crust is fat & health & feeds its armys well. The everyday victums in that country can all die they dont care. Sanctions do not work w/ these people all they understand is brute force.Stop this libreal lolly coddeling & get the job done.War is horrible but sometimes its the only way. Isreal will have to wait until after the USA elections to act. If Obama gets back in they are on there own. If romney gets in they have some good chance that the American military will help.Pray the muslim gets voted out.

I am not sure that Iran will test until they have two devices, if they test at all. When they test the first one, Israel will take them out with no questions asked.

I think this evil regime doesn’t care about it’s citizens, whether they starve to death or not. And I am positve they have ALL the money stashed away needed to achieve their horrific goals. All in the name of their demonic, false, pagan, so-called-god, allah :( All is justified-lives, whatever it may be. In other words…to THEM, the end, justifies the means! Aren’t we so…VERY blessed to know the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, is the one and ONLY true God of the universe. And, he has said, “Israel is mine.” We only need remember what Jesus stated on the cross. “IT IS FINISHED!” O’Glory to you father God most high. Thank-you for defending thy people’s O’LORD. We love you, cherish you, adore you, and know-ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO THOSE WHO LOVE YOU-GOD!!! :) HALLELUJAH!!! mAY THY CHILDREN BEGIN TO CRY OUR, “BARUCH HABA B’SHEM ADONAI-BLESSED IS HE WHO COMETH IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.” We love you Israel. Always and forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too many back door deals to make it work. Israel must act alone, the U.S. won’t help them as we have a islamist-in-chief.

Hoow can anyone expect sanctions to work against
a megalomaniacal madman? The only thing he’ll
    understand is overwhelming application of
force resulting in the termination of his
    miserable misguided existence.

Is the world waiting to see another holocust inorder to deal with Iran?.I believe that Iran will not give up its plans for building this nuclear force. No amount of diplomacy will sway it and I can say all of what is happening regarding sanctions is a waste of time. They dont understand such language……the world has forgoten that believe in sucidal tendemcies at every level whether its straping some explosives around ones waist or at nuclear level.

A Fragile Peace

As we continue to pray for a lasting peace, one of our most critical tasks is to help Israel recover – to rebuild, to restore shattered lives, to comfort those who have lost loved ones or livelihoods. And none of this is possible without you who continue to stand by the Jewish people.
