The Arab Spring and the Israeli Enemy

Photo: Gwenaël Piaser

Writing in the Arab News, columnist Abdulateef Al-Mulhim hits the nail on the head about the struggle between Israel and the Arab world. Kind of amazing to read.

The Arab world wasted hundreds of billions of dollars and lost tens of thousands of innocent lives fighting Israel, which they considered is their sworn enemy, an enemy whose existence they never recognized. The Arab world has many enemies and Israel should have been at the bottom of the list. The real enemies of the Arab world are corruption, lack of good education, lack of good health care, lack of freedom, lack of respect for the human lives and finally, the Arab world had many dictators who used the Arab-Israeli conflict to suppress their own people.

Many Arabs refer to America as “the great satan” and yet they are the ones who want to kill those who do not believe as they do. They are the ones who want to wipe out Israel. They apparently do not believe that those who would not stand with Israel will one day be punished. I believe the Bible (as a Christian I read both Old & New Testaments) and there are prophecies throughout the Bible telling us how in the end times Israel will wipe out her enemies. Arabs should beware!

It is time to look inward for the Arab peoples , with the questions to better relations with Israel, their neighbors, their future world too….

There is a silence in the article, that fails to note the increasing barbarity of the Islamic Winter. One wants to be hopeful, but scapegoating dictators, non-Islamic Extremists may be premature.

Yes, he hit the nail on the head with this article.
How do we get this message to the Arab world and make them understand that they have been used and abused by the people who govern them for years

The truth hurts and in this case very sad, embarassing and humiliating. But this is how it must happen. We just have to trust God. He has a reason for every event that He allows to happen.

Smart man. It is amazing, the truth and the simplicity of his article. Shucks, he even gave the Arabs the cure for what ails them.

THE ARAB SPRING’S ONLY RESULT WAS TO BRING FORTH THE BUDDING AND GROWTH OF TOTAL CHAOS ACROSS THE ENTIRE WORLD. AND CHAOS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT THE MUSLIMS NEEDED MORE OF. WHAT A PRICE THEY ARE PAYING. YOU ARE RIGHT, THEY NEED SO MANY THINGS BUT THEY CHOSE, & OBAMA CHOSE TO FEED THE WILD FRENZY OF IGNORANCE AND HATE. WHAT A MISTAKE.

Well put. Preservation of wealth and power are great motivators for abuse of others and requires a handy scapegoat to divert the anger from their excesses. And the Israelis are intransigent??????

Finally, someone in the Arab world who gets it and has the courage to say so. Pray for Abdulattef Al-Mulhim’s safety and his family’s safety. He is taking a gigantic chance with his life, and G-d forbid, the lives of those in his family. May his tribe increase.

Well the Bible says “where there is strife, there is confusion and every evil work. These people have been deceived into thinking they are following the true God, but apparently not, as we all know. Unfortunately their god does not teach to love your neighbor as yourself. Satan is having a hayday with these people in deceiving them thinking they are doing the right thing. So we need to pray for these people to come to know the Lord and I know some of them are. But according to the Bible these people will continue fighting against Israel amd of course U.S.A. No matter if the present President obviously is not for Israel, we as believers are and will continue to pray for Israel.

I agree 100%. Tha arabs should wake up, and see the Israelis as their brothers, because they are related. I tell the arabs, be open minded! we are not in the 13th. century any more.

Here’s one Arab who is right on the money! I wish more Arabs would realize and speak out like this. I also wish the world would stop and look at the size of Israel then look at the size of Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt. What is so terrible about that little strip of land being in the hands of God’s chosen people? I know the answer to that. Do you?

I couldn’t agree more with Abdulateef Al-Mulhim, peace be upon him. If the Arab/Muslim world really wishes to seek its sworn enemy, it need look no farther than the nearest mirror.
