The U.N. Vote

Legendary Israeli diplomat Abba Eban – who served as Israeli ambassador to the U.N. in the ‘40s and ‘50s and, later, as Foreign Minister – famously described the United Nations this way:

“If Algeria introduced a resolution declaring that the earth was flat and that Israel had flattened it, it would pass by a vote of 164 to 13 with 26 abstentions.”

Turns out he was too optimistic.

Yesterday, the U.N. General Assembly passed a resolution upgrading “Palestine” to the status of a non-member state by a vote of 138-9 with 41 abstentions. Palestine now becomes the only recognized U.N. state with no defined borders and two different governing authorities.

Incidentally, this year alone, the U.N. General Assembly considered 21 resolutions singling out Israel for criticism in one form or another and only 4…FOUR!…for the rest of the world combined.

Below is the breakdown of the Palestinian statehood vote. If you’re looking to take a vacation, you might want to choose a destination from the “no” or, at least, the “abstain” list. And if, like my family, you scratch off a country from your vacation plans due to this vote, you should write to them and let them know that they missed out on your tourism dollars and why.

To those of us who know the Truth, this sham of a vote for Palestine to be recognized as a “non-member” state shouldn’t come as a surprise. It does prove that the UN is as blind and naive as the countries who agreed with them. We have to be content to know that victory is secure, although there’s a lot of heartache and war ahead. We just have to keep praying for our brothers & sisters in Israel.

I have to keep reminding myself of this. God will have the final say when it comes to Israel. He’s already spoken pretty clearly: “I will bless those who bless Israel, and I will curse those who curse Israel.”

This is totally unacceptable from the countries that voted “yes”… Although, the United Nations about being worthless…it is the U.N. Security Council that really has any affect, and that is where Israel should put her focus for friendship. Do not worry because the countries that abstained from voting was neither a yes or a no which is much better than a “yes”. The United States and Canada voting “no” is great being the fact Canada is the seconf largest country in the world and the United States the third largest.

    Peace to Israel

It is a shame we all must bear that only 4 resolutions were passed criticizing anyone other than Israel. What is happening in the UN in many areas is down right dispectable! We must pray like we never have before for our entire world to come to the knowledge of the Saving Grace of our God!

    The No’s:
    righteous among the nations;

    The Yes’s and abstentions:
    unrighteous among the nations.

Only one thing (besides that God is on Israel’s side) concerns me. This now gives Palestine the right to file charges against Israel for war crimes.

Allis well because God is still on the throne, and looks with love on His chosen ones, the Israelites. The day is coming when they who come against Israel will know the wrath of God upon them as never before. Israel’s enemies won’t be celebrating on that day, rest assured.

I wont even ask God to have mercy on those who voted to divide his land. God is in control and he will deal with this matter just like his word says. I am suprized the USA voted to stand with them. We need to print this list and watch what happens to these countries. Blood high as the horses bridles.

The Bible must be fulfilled. Israel and the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ must recognize that the stage is being set for the Anti-Christ to make his appearance disguised as a great man of peace.
But Israel my beloved, you are not alone. You have never been alone even when you felt alone. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will never leave you. Let all Israel return to the Lord. God bless you Israel.
