In the Wall Street Journal, Lucette Lagnado writes about the new movement to bring attention to Jews who were forced to leave Arab countries after the founding of Israel.
Now Israeli officials are turning the tables, saying the hardships faced by several hundred thousand exiled Arab Jews, many forced from their homes, deserve as much attention as the plight of displaced Palestinians. “We are 64 years late,” says Danny Ayalon, Israel’s deputy foreign minister. “The refugee problem does not lie only on one side.” Mr. Ayalon, whose father is an Algerian Jew, led a U.N. conference last month sponsored by Israel and dubbed “Justice for Jews From Arab Countries.”

Its pathetic how incomplete and misleading history is perpetuated. And many (most?) Jews do nothing about it, perhaps because they are so engrossed in liberal democratic party politics.

my mother’s family is from bethehem in what is now the palestine territory. we are christian.
we have always been christian. isreal cares about jews and moslems only. no one cares that over half of all christians have been forsed to leave palestine, lebanon, iraq, and syria .

If the person is of jewish faith and origins then he or she belong in Israel and if they are of arab beliefs then they belong in ay number of arab countries. Israel only needs to protect its own. May GOD BLESS ISRAEL TODAY AND FOREVER MORE.

All (or almost all) Jews descend from the Israelite peoples. The 3 groups we are most aware of are the Ashkenazic, Sephardic and Misrahim. The Misrahim are Arab Jews.
